The Sync Service works behind the scenes to ensure your data and maps are up to date, both locally and in the cloud

  • Sync Service Framework

The sync service creates and distributes project packages to user's device(s), manages all traffic between mobile devices and the SpatialWorx server, and identifies and distributes changes (data and project) to affected devices.

  • Security & Reliability

The sync service is robust and resilient. It has been designed to function efficiently over a solid network, but still be reliable over an unstable network connection. It is also secure - SSL/HTTPS encryption is applied to all incoming and outgoing data packets.

  • What Does the Sync Service Manage?

The sync service updates the SpatialWorx application, all configurations (project definitions, map layers, forms), and all data for every project to all mobile devices and processes all app updates back to the SpatialWorx server.

  • How Does it Work?

The sync service uses a queue-based architecture to process update requests in a set of dynamically generated Inbound and Outbound queues for customers and each individual user/device. It also makes data changes accessible to external applications as well as supporting incoming data or messages from external systems or APIs.
